son of James & Ann Day (nee Whitfield).

His father - James Day died in 1898, aged: 48.

aged: 42 - occ: Stonemason - born: Liverpool.    Also - Annie Day - Wife -
aged: 34 - born: Widnes, Lancashire.   Plus 3 younger brothers and his
maternal grandmother.

1901 Census - 10 Cliffe Street, Widnes, Prescot, Lancashire.   Son - aged:
18 - occ: Farm Hand - born: Wavertree, Lancashire.    Head of household -
Annie Day - Widow - aged: 43 - occ: Charwoman - born: Widnes, Lancashire.  
Plus 4 younger brothers.

1911 Census - No Trace.  His mother and three brothers are still residing
at 10 Cliffe Street, Widnes, Prescot, Lancashire.

Enlisted in February 1917.

SDGW - Formerly 29434 South Wales Borderers.     However, the CWGC states
that he was formerly 74745 with the 20th Labour Coy - The King's (Liverpool
Rgt).
