MIC - Awarded only the BWM & the VM - no Stars so probably didn't go overseas until 1916 ? Queen's Westminster Rifles. Name given as Douglas on his gravestone. Buried 24/05/1917 - Burial No. 15,333. Surname spelt 'Mickle' in the Cem records. Pension Records - Dependant - Elder Sister - Miss Jean Caldwell Meikle, 42 Coniston Road, Muswell Hill, London N.10. Jean died on the 29th April 1930, aged: 57 at Muswell Hill and is also buried in Sale (Brooklands) Cemetery. |
