Trafford

Born on the 7th August 1892, the birth being registered during the
September quarter 1892 in the Salford R.D. - ref: 8d/161, the only son of
Isaac & Mary Lomas (nee).    Baptised at Christ Church P.C., Salford on the
4th December 1892 - residence given as 10 Woodbine Street, Salford.

A good athlete and in particular a sprinter, he won prizes for 100 yard
races and relay races.   Connected with Salford Lads Club and the Griffin
Athletics Club.    Member of the Woodbine Street Bible Christian Church,
Salford, where he was a member of their choir.     Employed by S & J Watts,
Manchester and later by Forshaw & Sons, Hilton St, Manchester.

Enlisted shortly after outbreak of war and drafted to France in July 1915.

Killed instantly by a shell bursting close to him.

Listed in the Guardian Year Book - Roll of Honour for 1917.
