- Wife - aged: 29 - born: Stepney, London.   Plus 1 younger sister and 1
domestic servant.

1911 Census - 3 Edwin Terrace, Mersey Road, Ashton on Mersey.   Son - aged:
16 - occ: Engineer Fitter - born: Leyton, Essex.    Head of household -
Alfred Clegg - Married - aged: 39 - occ: Agent for oil and produce - born:
London.    Also - Marion Clegg - Wife - aged: 39 - born: London.   Plus 3
younger siblings.

WO 363 - Enlisted on the 9th October 1915 into the 27th Reserve Battalion,
Manchester Rgt.   His address was given as 2 Dovestone Road,
Ashton-upon-Mersey.  He was aged: 21 years and 5 months and employed as a
Draughtsman.  He was 5 feet 1 1/2 inches in height and weighed 105 lb.    
Posted to France on the 30th January 1916.   His parents were sent the
following personal items belonging to their son:- a cross, a purse, knife,
prayer book, French book, 3 letters and 1 photo.
