Born during the June quarter 1889 in the Chorlton R.D. - ref: 8c/863, the
eldest son of Charles Robert & Rosetta Boshell (nee Starkie).

Attested on the 15th February 1915 and was mobilised on the 16h July 1915
and posted to Lytham.   The family were at that time residing at "Moss
Bank", Albert Road, Sale.   Aged: 25 years 8 months and employed as a
Clerk.   Height: 5 feet 9 inches - Expanded chest: 35½ inches with a 2½
inch expansion.     Very few of his records have survived, but he had
suffered from Goitre.     He was discharged from the Army as unfit for duty
on the 11th April 1917, as a result of active service in the field in
France.   Described as having "Pemanent and Total Disability that will
require out patient treatment".

Buried 07/12/1918 - Burial No. 15,804.

CWGC record his DEATH as being the 7th December, which is incorrect - it is
quite unrealistic that he should be buried the same day as he died.

The 1915 Sale Directory lists - Mrs Rose Boshell - Moss Bank, Albert Road,
Sale, but after the war the family resided at 5 Abingdon Road, Sale.
