the son of Thomas Henry & Emma Aldcroft (nee Robinson).

1891 Census - Linden Lea Stable, Brooklands Road, Sale.   Son - aged: 2 -
born: Sale.   Head of household - Thomas H. Aldcroft - Married - aged: 28 -
occ: Coachman (domestic servant) - born: Sale.    Also - Emma Aldcroft -
Wife - aged: 41 - born: Glossop.   Plus 3 elder siblings.

1901 Census - Linden Lea Stable, Brooklands Road, Sale.   Son - aged: 12 -
born: Brooklands.   Head of household - Thomas H. Aldcroft - Married -
aged: 38 - occ: Coachman (domestic servant) - born: Sale.    Also - Emma
Aldcroft - Wife - aged: 51 - born: Glossop.   Plus 3 elder siblings and 1
paternal uncle.

1911 Census - No Trace.   His parents and one sister are still residing at
Linden Lea Stable Cottage.

Emigrated to Canada on the S.S. Victorian on the 13th April 1911.  The ship
left Liverpool for Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canade.

Unmarried and residing at North Bay, Ontario, Canada when he enlisted.

His Canadian attestation form, signed on the 10th May 1916, at Quebec,
states that he was 27 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches in height, had a 36/38
inch chest (fully expanded).   His complexion was: Ruddy, his eyes were:
blue and his hair: brown.  The papers also state that his father's name was
Fred Aldcroft, residing at 17 South Grove, Brooklands, Cheshire [no mention
of a Thomas H. Aldcroft].  The papers also state that he was a Machinist by
trade and that he had never previously served in any military force.

No Religion shown.     He  was unmarried and listed his father - Fred
Aldcroft (???) as his next of kin.

Died of wounds at Etaples, France.
