Born during the September quarter 1887 in the Sunderland R.D. - ref: 10a/587, the son of Thomas & Elizabeth Hoggett (nee Hall). 1891 Census - 1901 Census - Wellingborough Grammar School, Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. Pupil - aged: 13 - Scholar - born: Sunderland, Durham. His parents and sister were then residing at The Elms, Yarm Road, Preston upon Tees, Stockton, Durham. Northampton Mercury dated the 27th February 1903 - listed as successful in the Cambridge Local Examinations for under 16s. Manchester Courier dated the 14th October 1908 - Played Rugby for Broughton Park 2nd team against New Brighton at home. Manchester Courier dated the 22nd October 1908 - Played Rugby for Broughton Park 2nd team against sale. 1911 Census - The Hawthorns, Stand, Whitefield, Manchester. Boarder - aged: 23 - occ: Electrical Engineer - born: Sunderland, Durham. The head of household is not listed - only 4 male electrical engineers and 3 female domestic servants. Married Ada Abbott during the March quarter 1915 in the Bucklow R.D. - ref: 8a/302. Admitted into the Queen Alexandra's Military Hospital at Millbank, Westminster, London on the 21st June 1916. From there he was transferred to the 14 bed Mountgarret Hospital, 18 Cadogan Gardens, Sloane Square, London on the 18th July 1916. Died from Blood Poisoning - War Related Sickness. Death registered during the September quarter 1916 in the Chelsea R.D. - ref: 1a/332 - aged: 29. M.I. "He fought the good fight". CWGC - "Son of Tom I. & Elizabeth Hoggett; husband of Ada Hoggett of 190 Northenden Road, Sale". Last Will & Testament dated the 21st May 1916, leaving his entire Estate to his wife - Ada Hoggett of 190 Northenden Road, Sale. Commemorated on the Wellingborough Grammar School War Memorial.
