Registering himself as James Corrigan, he married Clara Clarke during the
December quarter 1909 in the Chorlton R.D. - ref: 8c/1354.

Married (one year) - aged: 27 - occ: General Labourer - born: Sale.   Also
- Clara Corrigan - Wife - aged: 23 - born: Flixton.   Plus a niece.

Killed in Action with Submarine in English Channel.   The Ettrick was a 570
ton Destroyer built in 1909 by Palmers’ SB. & Iron Co., Ltd., Newcastle. 
 It was torpedoed by UC-61, 15 miles SW of Beachy Head, blowing off her bow
- 49 men were killed.

Listed as J.M. Corrigan on St. Michael's Memorial.

Killed in Action with Submarine in English Channel.
