registered during the March quarter 1875 in the Altrincham R.D. - ref:
8a/182, the son of John & Eliza Bland.

enlisted.

His Canadian attestation form, signed on the 20th March 1916, at Regina,
Saskatchewan, states that he was aged 41 years, 3 months, 5 feet 7½ inche
in height, had a 38/4 inch chest (fully expanded).   His complexion was:
fair, his eyes: blue and his hair: fair.    The papers also state that he
was a Warehouseman by trade and that he had never previously served in any
military force

Religion - C of E.   He was unmarried and listed his brother - Frank Bland,
1339 Scarth Street, Regina as his next of kin.
