CWGC - Son of Annie S. Dixon, of "Leeward", Sibson Rd., Sale, Manchester, and the late Isaiah Dixon. Gazetted 2nd Lt. 18th May, 1912, to Special Reserve. The Manchester Evening News dated 16th November 1914 reports that his orderley who had been invalided home, informed them that Lieutenant Dixion had been shot dead whilst engaging the enemy during as bayonnet charge at La Bassee.
