Born during the December quarter 1894 in the Barton upon Irwell R.D. - ref:
8c/728, the eldest son of Robert Fletcher & Eliza Jane (Lily) Allured (nee
Tonge).

1901  Census - "Willoghby", Church Road, Urmston.   Son - aged: 6 - born:
Stretford.    Head of household - Robert F. Allured - Married - aged: 41 -
occ: Chartered Accountant - born: Southport, Lancashire.   Also - Eliza
Jane Allured - Wife - aged: 40 - born: Salford.   Plus 1 sibling and 2
domestic servants.

His father died in 1903, aged: 43.

1911 Census - The Hostel College Green, Worcester.   Boarder - Scholar - 
aged; 16 - born: Stretford.    

His mother was residing at "Willoghby", Church Road, Urmston.   Head of
household - Eliza Jane Allured - Widow - aged: 50 - occ: Private Means -
born: Salford.   Plus 2 siblings and 1 domestic servant.

Originally a Private in the Royal Fusiliers.   Commissioned as a 2nd Lt in
the Border Rgt on the 15th January 1915.  Drafted to France on the 2nd
February 1916.

From Canettemont - arrived LĂ©alvillers 02/09; Bouzincourt 05/09; Donnet
Post 06/09; Front Line facing Thiepval 12/09.   On 16/09 the Bn. attacked
and gained part of 'Danube' Trench.

His MIC lists two addresses for his mother - No.1 - "Lymehurst", Roumania
Crescent, Llandudno.  Adress No.2 "Willoughby", Marlborough Road, Sale.

Commemorated on the private family gravestone in Urmston Cemetery, which
states that he was 21 years of age.

His father, Robert Fletcher died 21/05/1903 aged 43 years and his mother,
Eliza Jane died 16/06/1951 aged 90 years.

CWGC - Son of Mr. R. F. and Mrs. E. J. Allured, of "Willoughby,"
Marlborough Rd., Sale, Cheshire. Native of Stretford, Manchester.
