Born during the June quarter 1891 in the Dudley R.D. - ref: 6c/21, the son of Thomas & Emily Hewit (nee Kefford). His father died in 1898, aged: 34. 1901 census - 2 Grange Field Barn Cottages, Stoneleigh, Warwickshire. Grandson - aged: 10 - born: Birmingham. Head of household - Thomas Hewitt (grandfather) - Married - aged: 61 - occ: Shepherd - born: Stoneleigh. Also - Harriett Hewitt (grandmother) - Wife - aged: 61 - born: Newbold Pacey, Warwickshire. Plus 1 paternal uncle. 1911 Census - No Trace. It is not known when his mother moved to 26 Heywood Grove, Brooklands, Sale. CWGC - Son of Emily Hewitt of 26 Heywood Grove, Brooklands, Sale.
