Born on the 20th April 1945, the son of Jan (John) & Marjorie Komarewicz (nee Wright). His father died in 1949 when Paul was just four years of age and Paul adopted later his mother's maiden name as his own surname. A British 22 SAS officer, he was seconded to the Sultan of Oman’s Armed Forces during the Dhofar War. Initially buried in the Bait El Falaj Cemetery, Muscat, Oman, but at the insistance of his mother, his remains were brought back to Rostherne and buried in his maternal gandparent's grave in St. Mary's Churchyard. Commemorated in the Roll of Honour Book in St. Mary's Parish Church, Rostherne, Cheshire. |
