Received George Cross for Bomb Disposal Work 15th September 1942 Temp. Lt Cdr George Herbert Goodman GC MBE RNVR, served at HMS Vernon,HMS Nile and HMS President. Was awarded the George Cross for a series of bomb and mine disposals in North Africa. Assisting the disposals were PO William B Filer RN and painter Archibald John Russell RN, both of whom received the George Medal. Mark Goodman (George's Cousin) would like to contact Filer and Russell or anyone who knows of them and also anyonewho knew his cousin who was killed in a booby trapped house in Holland in May 1945.
