Slater).

Joined the Metro-Vicker's Company as a College Apprentice in October 1932. 
  On completion of his apprenticeship in December 1934 he joined the staff
of the Leeds Office.    Joined the Territorial Army in which he held the
rank of Second Lieutenant and mobilised in August 1939.  Died in England in
June 1940.
