Joined the Metro-Vicker's Company as a Machine Operator in January 1940. Joined the R.N. in May 1940 and later promoted to the rank of Able Seaman. Died at Sea in April 1942. Buried in the Protestant Section (Men's). HMS Kingston, a 'K' Class Destroyer, was damaged on the 22nd March by Italian gunfire during the second battle of Sirte and again by bombs on the 5th & 7th April. It was finally destoyed beyond repair by a German air raid on the dry dock at Valetta on the 11th April 1942. |
