His mother re-married an Edwin Brown. Attended St. George's Day School. Member of St. George's Choir 1929 - 1934. Employed firstly at the Radium Works, then at George Richards Ltd. Joined the Royal Navy on Coronation Day 13/05/1937. Killed at Narvik Death reported in the 16/04/1940 edition of the Sale & Stretford Guardian. Also (with photo) in the 19/04/40 edition of the local newspaper. |
