The 01/06/1940 edition of the Stretford News reports that he is training
for his wings.

Killed in a flying accident.   Buried 20/12/1941 - Burial No. 2,157.

His brother Martin Harry Oldnall also died on active service.

This is a Special Memorial as the Churchyard was altered and some graves
removed when Chester Rd was widened.   Many gravestones were either removed
or re-positioned.   His headstone is now no longer directly over his grave,
being positioned against the Church wall.

Eleven of their uncles served in the 1st W.W. - one of them - George Head
winning the DCM.
