Born during the September quarter 1912 in the Barton upon Irwell R.D. - ref: 8c/1177. 1939 National Registration - No Trace. CWD Report No. 71. Died as a result of falling debris at 51 Shrewsbury Street, Old Tafford, from where his body was recovered at 16.25 hrs on the 7th January 1941 and taken to the City Road Mortuary, Old Trafford. His body was identified by his Foster Parent - A.F. Carpenter, 84 Cranbury Road, Southampton and released for burial to the Council's Undertaker Contractor - R. Pepperdine, 31 Ayres Road, Old Trafford. Employed as a Labourer. Buried 15/01/1941 - Burial No. 17,935. CWGC - Died at 51 Shrewsbury Street. |
