1911 Census - 14 Seddon Street, Salford.  Son - aged: 14 (listed as HENRY
Rigby) - occ: Junior Store Keeper Carrier - born: Hulme, Manchester.   
Head of household - Caroline Rigby - Widow - aged: 54 - occ: Provision
Dealer - born: Haydock, Lancashire.   Plus 2 elder siblings and 1 Boarder.

1939 National Registration - No Trace.

CWD Report No. 37.   Killed at 38 Melville Road, Stretford, from where his
body was recovered on the 24th December 1940 and taken to the City Road
Mortuary, Old Trafford.    His body was identified by his son - Walter
Rigby, 32 Clifton Avenue, Fallowfield, Manchester and released for burial
to the Farnworth & Kearsley Co-op Undertakers, Farnworth.    Described as
being 5 feet 9 inches in height with dark brown hair.

Death registered in Stretford Borough.  Buried at Weaste on 02/01/1941.

CWGC - Air Raid Warden; of 38 Melville Road. Husband of H. Rigby. Died at
38 Melville Road.

Apparently, Edith Woodhead of No.30 Melville Road, refused to go down into
the air rad shelter when the Alert sounded, so Henry Rigby, who was an Air
Raid Warden of No.38 Melville Road decided to stay with her - they were
both killed.
