Born on the 13th April 1882, the birth being registered during the June quarter 1882 in the Birmingham R.D. - ref: 6d/107, the son of John & Emily Nash. 1891 Census - 65 Icknield Square, Birmingham. Son - aged: 9 - Scholar - born: Birmingham. Head of household - John Nash - Married - aged: 40 - occ: Wagonner - born: Northfield, Worcestershire. Also - Emily Nash - Wife - aged: 33 - born: Aldridge, Staffordshire. Plus 2 younger siblings - Emily & Jessey. 1901 Census - No Trace. Married Annie Browning during the December quarter 1909 in the Thornbury R.D. - ref: 6a/516. 1911 Census - Glen View Villas, Par, Cornwall. Head - Married - aged: 28 - occ: Millers Screensman - born: Birmingham. Also Annie Nash - Wife - aged: 21 - born: Birmingham. Plus their 7 month old son - Cyril Mark Nash. 1939 National Registration - 397 Chester Road, Stretford. Mark J. Nash - Married - born: 13th April 1882 - occ: Screedess at Sawmill ??? There was one other person listed whose details are closed under the 100 year rule. CWD Report No. 87. Listed as Mark McNash, he died as a result of falling debris opposite 'North' ??? Chester Road (presumably referring to the Northumberland Hotel), from where his body was recovered at 13.00 hrs on the 23rd December 1940 and taken to the City Road Mortuary, Old Trafford. His body was identified by a friend - Emma Little. CWGC records state that he was killed "opposite the Northumberland Hotel", Chester Road - not sure if that means he was killed opposite there, or at his residence at 397 Chester Rd, which is almost opposite the hotel. Cemetery records state that he died at 397 Chester Rd. Buried 30/12/1940 - Burial No. 17,885. Listed as Mark McNash on the Communal Civilian Memorial and in the Memorial Book.
