Born on the 2nd August 1824, the birth being registered during the
September quarter 1924 in the Manchester R.D. - ref: 8d/296, the daughter
of Sam & Clara Henrietta Gibson (nee Flatman).

Sam & Clara produced eight children between 1911 and 1928 -Elsie being the
last but one child.

1939 National Registration - 113 Northumberland Road, Stretford.    Sam
Gibson - Married - born on the 26th May 1885 - occ: Gas Meter Tester.   
Clara H. Gibson - Married - born on the 19th October 1885 - occ: Housewife.
  Alfred Gibson - Single - born on the 25th April 1917 - occ: Store Keeper
at Rubber Works.   There is one redacted record at this address.   Elsie N.
Gibson - Single - born on the 2nd August 1924 - occ: Househelp.   Frank R.
Gibson - born on the 25th August 1928 - Scholar.

CWD Report No.36.   Died at 11 Coniston Road, Stretford, from where her
body was recovered on the 24th December 1940 and taken to the City Road
Mortuary, Old Trafford.   She was identified by her father and her body was
released for burial to Sam Gibson, 218 Manchester Road, Stretford.   She
was described as being 5 feet 2 inches in height and of slight build. 

Death registered in Stretford Borough.   Buried in the family grave in
Philips Park Cemetery on the 31st December 1940..

Her mother - Clara Henrietta Gibson had only just died during the December
quarter 1940.

Her brother Frank Ronald Gibson also died in this incident.
