Born May Felton on the 1st January 1878, the birth being registered during
the March quarter 1878 in the Aston R.D. - ref: 6d/315.

She married William Dinwoodie Carswell during the June quarter 1902 in the
Chorlton R.D. - ref: 8c/1266.   I have no record of when William died, but
it was prior to WW2.

1911 Census -  212 St David's Road North St Annes-On-The-Sea.   Wife -
aged: 33 - born: Birmingham.    Head of Household - William Dinwoodie
Carswell - aged: 31 - occ: Linen Drapery Merchant born: Manchester.  Also
listed was their daughter - Olive May - aged: 7 - born: Manchester.

1939 National Registration - 51 Warwick Road South, Stretford.   Henry W.
Burrows - Single - born on the 5th March 1899 - occ: Sorting Postal Clerk. 
 Mary Carswell - Married - born: 1st January 1878 - occ: Incapacitated.  
Olive May Carswell - Single - born: 23rd September 1903 - occ: Machine
Operator (Calculation).

CWD Report No.121 states that she was a widow.   The house received a
direct hit.   Her body was identified by ??? Burrows, 250 Manley Road,
Chorlton cum Hardy, who was described as a "Friend".   (Presume this is
Henry W. Burrows?)

Killed together with her daughter - Olive May Carswell at 51 Warwick Road
South, Old Trafford.  Her body was recovered on the 12th March 1941 and
taken to the City Road Mortuary, Old Trafford where it was identified by
???? Burrows and released to W.E. Stamper, 54 Princess Road, Moss Side for
burial.  Buried 15/03/1941 - Burial No. 142427.

CWGC - of 51 Warwick Road South. Widow of W. D. Carswell. Died at 51
Warwick Road South.
