Born in 1882. 1939 National Registration - 3 Ventnor Street, Salford. Joseph Burke - Married - born: 20th March 1882 - occ: Dock Labourer. There are also three members of the Hall family residing at this address, plus a Jessie Kanaragh CWD Report No.20. The report originally stated that this was an unidentified person recovered on the 24th December 1940 and taken to the City Road Mortuary, Old Trafford. It was later decided that this was the remains of Joseph Burke. Described as being 5 feet 6 inches in height, of slight build, with black/grey hair and moustache. Death registered in Stretford Borough. CWGC - Killed at 405 Stretford Road, Old Trafford. [This was situated on the SW corner of the junction of Stretford Road and Essex Street]. |
