Born - Mary Ada Higham on the 24th July 1886, the birth being during the September quarter 1886 - in the Barton on Irwell R.D. - ref: 8c/660, the eldest child of Thomas & Martha Ann Higham (nee Barlow). 1891 Census - 4 Grove Terrace (next to 1 Albert Place), Urmston Lane, Stretford. Daughter - aged: 4 - born: Stretford. Head of household - Thomas Higham - Married - aged: 28 - occ: Wheelwright - born: Stretford. Also Martha A. Higham - Wife - aged: 29 - born: Flixton. Plus 1 younger sister. 1901 Census - 38 Urmston Lane, Stretford. Daughter - aged: 14 - born: Stretford. Head of household - Thomas Higham - Married - aged: 38 - occ: Wheelwright - born: Stretford. Also Martha A. Higham - Wife - aged: 39 - born: Flixton. Plus 4 younger siblings. 1911 Census - Chapel House, Kings Street, Stretford. Daughter - aged: 24 - occ: Handkerchief Embroidress Machinist.
