A Photographer, acting as a Firewatcher, he was killed at 45 Barlow Moor
Rd, Chorlton cum Hardy, Mcr.

CWGC - Home Guard; Firewatcher; of 18 Skelton Road, Stretford. Husband of
Sarah Jane Root. Died at Skelton Road [I don't think so - he died at
Chorlton-cum-Hardy and his death was registered in Manchester????].

Joined the Metro-Vicker's Company as a Paint Sprayer employed in the G.
Dip. Department.    Joined the R.M. in January 1941.   Killed, whilst on
duty in an air raid at Barlow Moor Road, Manchester.

Body taken to the City Road Mortuary.  Death registered in the City of
Manchester.

Buried 14/05/1941 - Burial No. 18,151.
