Born during the March quarter 1925 in the Manchester North R.D. - ref: 8d/803, the son of Joseph & Martha E. Dunn (nee Hannigan). 1939 National Registration - 26 Gorse Street, Stretford. Joseph Dunn - Married - born: 6th April 1890 - occ: Centre Lathe Turner. Ellen Dunn - Married - born: 16th March 1894 - occ: Housewife. Plus three other members of the family. Two other records have been redacted - one of those will probably be Joseph Jnr. Died at Withington Hospital from injuries sustained on 11/03/41 at Lostock, Stretford. He was walking two girls home from the St.Hugh of Lincoln R.C. Church at Lostock when he was hit by shrapnel. Death registered in Manchester City. CWGC - of 74 Braemar Avenue, Stretford. Son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Dunn. Injured 11 March 1941, at Lostock, Stretford; died at Withington Hospital, Nell Lane. |
