Williams).

sisters.

His father - Samuel Craven died in 1917, aged: 71.

Enlisted in late 1917.

Reported as being missing in the 19/07/1918 edition of the local newspaper,
which gives his mother's address as Daisy Bank, Grange Road, Ashton on
Mersey.

Took part in the Battle of the Marne (Chemin des Dames Breakthrough) - At
01.00hrs on ther 27th, 4,000 German artillery and mortar pieces, fired 2
million shells at the allied forces along a 30 km stretch of the front
line. 

Listed as L.S. Craven on the Ashton United Reform Church War Memorial.  
His cousin - Algernon Craven was also killed during WW1.
