Born at Timperley on ther 2nd April 1883, during the June quarter 1883 in the Altrincham R.D. - ref: 8a/186, the son of George & Elizabeth Thomas (nee Griffiths). In 1881, his parents and 5 elder siblings were residing at Orchard Place, Stockport Road, Timperley. One of his siblings was Edith Mary - aged: 7 who died in 1882 and is buried at Christ Church, Timperley. Another sister listed was Bernice was aged: 2 - in 1900, Bernice married John Monsear Evenson and she is also buried at Christ Church, Timperley. 1891 Census - 55 Church Road, Lytham, St. Annes on Sea, Lancashire. Son - aged: 8 - born: Timperley. Head of household - George Thomas - Married - aged: 44 - occ: Cabman - born: Goodmanham, Yorkshire.
