only child of George & Caroline Pendlebury (nee Jolley).

Runcorn, Cheshire.   Head of household - George Pendlebury - Married -
aged: 33 - occ: Ship Engineer - born: Runcorn, Cheshire.   Also Caroline

Joined the Cheshire Constabulary on the 17th October 1914.

Enlisted at Frodsham.

Death reported in the 27/10/1916 edition of the Altrincham Guardian.   He
was of large stature and over 6 feet tall.    Originally employed by the
Runcorn & Widnes Co-operative Society, then the Dredging Department of the
Manchester Ship Canal, before joining the Cheshire Constabulary on the 17th
October 1914.   For some time, he was a Police Constable at Altrincham.  
The newspaper report states that he was in the Cheshire Rgt.

Listed in the Guardian Year Book - Roll of Honour for 1917, which states
that he was with Altrincham Police Force.

Commemorated on the Cheshire Constabulary War Memorial and in their War
Memorial Book.
