registered until the September quarter 1894 in the Altrincham R.D. - ref:
8a/171, the son of Eustace George & Jane Castell Parker (nee Harvey).

JANUARY 1915
Egypt. Part of Lancashire Fusiliers Brigade, East Lancashire Division which
became 125th Brigade, 42nd (East Lancashire) Division in May.

MAY 1915
Sailed Derffiinger 9.30 p.m. (3rd). Commenced disembarkation at Helles 4
p.m. (6th).  Moved to bivouacs on cliff above “W” Beach.  War Diary for
127th Brigade records that each man carried 200 rounds of ammunition, 2
days supplies and iron rations, picks and shovels. No baggage, blankets or
stores were allowed.  Moved forward 7 p.m. (7th) to position west of
Krithia Bridge.  Moved up Krithia road to support positions 8.30 p.m.
(8th).   Relieved 4th Worcestershire in firing line - Krithia Nullah sector
(11th).   Relieved and to reserve lines (21st).   Relieved 1/5th East
Lancashire in firing line (25th).  With 1/5th Manchester advanced line
between 50 to 200 yards.

JUNE 1915
Took part in Third Battle of Krithia (4th) - first objective taken and
consolidated.    Enemy counter-attack beaten off (6th).  Presumably killed
during that counter-attack.
