The Treworlas was built in 1922, it's gross register tonnage was 4,692, it was 413 feet long, 53 feet wide and could make 11 knots. A cargo ship, it was one of 28 ships operated by the Hain Steamship Co, 24 St. Mary Axe, London EC3. Near to Trinidad, on the 28/12/42 she was torpedoed by U-124 and sank in position - 10.52N 60.45W. There were 10 survivors, but 38 crew/passengers were lost. |
