Born at Altrincham on the 1st April 1891, his birth registered under the
name of BLECKLEY during the June quarter 1891 in the Altrincham R.D. - ref:
8a/188, the younger son of John James & Emma Bleckly (nee Rylands).  His
parents were married under the name of BLECKLY.

Under the name of BLECKLEY, he married Margaret Cecilia Fawcett during the
June quarter 1917 in the Stokesley (Yorkshire) R.D. - ref: 9d/1037.

The 15/04/1917 edition of the local newspaper reported his wedding to Miss
Fawcett, daughter of the late Thomas Gisbourne Fawcett of Yarm on Tees
where they had recently married.   The article includes photographs of
them.   She is recorded as residing at "Cloverley", Winton Road, Bowdon.

WO374 - Under the name of BLECKLY, his record states that he was educated
at Radley and Oxford.  His occupation was Articled Clerk & Solicitor in
Manchester.  He was 6 feet in height.   Applied for a Commission on the
13th December 1914.   Appointed Lieutenant on the 1st July 1917.   
Disembodied in Dublin, Ireland on the 25th March 1919.  His address was
then given as Munster Lodge, Kildare, Co. Cork.  The record states that he
had previously served in the 6th Cycle Brigade, Signal Co, Royal Engineers.
  [NOTE: A Territorial could still be 'Embodied' during a national
emergency, a term usually referring to Militias.  Once he is discharged
then he is finished, but if only 'disembodied', then he is still subject to
be recalled or 'Embodied'.]  It would appear that he maintained his
Territorial status.  He applied to resign his Commission on the 31st
September 1920.

Although his birth was registered in the name of BLECKLEY, no other
reference to him with the second 'e' in his name.

Died of Pneumonia.    Buried on 27/05/1921 - Burial No. 30/1896.

His father, John James died at Daresbury Lodge, Altrincham on 10/01/1930
aged 87 years and his mother, Emma died at Llandulas, Wales on  02/09/1915
aged 69 years.
