8a/169, the only son of Alfred & Jane Woodhouse (nee Greig).

Attended St. George's C. of E. School.   Member of St. George's Church
choir.  Employed by Messrs. Armstrong and Wolf.

A regular, he joined the Army in 1908 and had served in India until the
outbreak of war in Europe.

CWGC lists his parents as living at 64 Gladstone Rd, Altrincham and the
local newspaper reports him as living at York Rd, Bowdon.

Death reported in the 11/06/1915 edition of the Altrincham Guardian.  Also
reported in the 04/02/1916 edition of the local newspaper.

Listed in the Guardian Year Book - Roll of Honour for 1917.

Commemorated on the private family gravestone in Hale Cem which states that
he was a sergeant.

His mother, Jane died 02/03/1920 aged 54 years.
