MIC - Drafted to France on the 3rd May 1915.  Awarded the BWM - 15 Star &
VM.

Killed whilst taking up rations to the front line trenches - he and another
were killed instantly and four others were wounded.

Death reported in the 16/11/1917 edition of the Altrincham Guardian.

Listed in the Guardian Year Book - Roll of Honour for 1918, which states
that he was a Corporal.
