Born on 28/01/1887, during the March quarter 1887 in the Altrincham R.D. -
ref: 8a/176, the son of Francis John & Martha Waters (nee Owen).   Birth
registered as Fred Percy Waters.

1891 Census - 100 George Street, Altrincham.     Son (Listed as Freddie) -
aged: 4 - born: Sale.   Head of household - Francis J. Waters - Married -
aged: 35 - occ: Sewing Machine Agent - born: Sale.     Also - Martha Waters
- Wife - aged: 35 - born: Sale.    Plus 7 siblings.

1901 Census - No Trace - no trace of almost all of the family.

1911 Census - 2 Charter Road, Altrincham.     Boarder - aged: 24 - occ:
Joiner - born: Ashton upon Mersey.

His mother and 3 siblings were residing at 8 Cedar Road, Hale in 1911.  
His father was residing at Frederick's brother and sister in law's house at
29 Broom Road, Hale.  He was assisting his son in his Laundry business.

Married Beatrice Ellen Barnes during the September quarter 1912 in the
Bucklow R.D. - ref: 8a/451, residing at 6 Willow Tree Road, Altrincham.

Death reported in the 11/05/1917 edition of the Altrincham Guardian, which
states that he had served for 2 years 8 months, which means he enlisted
right at the start of the war. 

Died of Smallpox in the 22nd General Hospital, Alexandria, Egypt.

His widow was living at the Red House, Bowdon in 1918.

Commemorated on the private family (in-laws) gravestone in Hale Cem.

M.I. - "Nothing but well and fair and what may comfort us in a death so
noble".

Listed in the Guardian Year Book - Roll of Honour for 1918.

His youngest brother - Ernest Alfred Waters was also killed during WW1.
