Born during the the June quarter of 1889 in the Ashton under Lyne R.D. - ref: 8d/567, the youngest son of John & Elizabeth Ann Irlam (nee Hargreaves). 1891 Census - 141 Pickford Lane, Dukinfield, Cheshire. Son - aged: 1 - born: Dukinfield. Head of household - John Irlam - Married - aged: 39 - occ: Labourer at Iron Works - born: Ashton upon Mersey. Also - Elizabeth Irlam - Wife - aged: 38 - born: Swinton, Lancashire. Plus 5 elder siblings. Attended All Saints School, Ashton upon Mersey. 1901 Census - Garden View, Ashton upon Mersey. Son - aged: 11 - born: Dukinfield, Cheshire. Head of household - John Irlam - Married - aged: 49 - occ: Builder's Labourer - born: Ashton upon Mersey. Also - Elizabeth A. Irlam - Wife - aged: 48 - born: Swinton, Lancashire. Plus 2 elder sisters. 1911 Census - 14 Wilson Street, Sale. Son - aged: 21 - occ: Nurseryman - born: Dukinfield. At the time of his death, his widow was living at 4 Holly Grove, Sale. CWGC - Husband of Mrs. E.L. Allsop (formerly Irlam) of 6 Albion Street, Sale. Elizabeth married Richard Allsop in 1920. M.I.
