Born during the June quarter 1899 in the Chorlton R.D. - ref: 8c/901, the
son of William & Louisa Mary Ann Borrino (nee Jones).

1901 Census - No Trace of any of the family.

1911 Census - 56 Barrett Street, Old Trafford.    Son - aged: 11 - Scholar
- born: Manchester.   Head of household - William Borrino - Married - aged:
39 - occ: Foreman Vanman at Bakers - born: Manchester.   Also Louisa
Borrino - Wife - aged: 41 - born: Manchester.   Plus 3 siblings and 1
cousin.

His parents later resided at 368 Chester Road, Old Trafford.

On the 1st of July 1918, they attacked Bouzincourt. but were repelled by
the enemy.  They were relieved on the 10th and moved to the area south of
Amiens.  They were in action in The Battle of Amiens and were engaged in
heavy fighting from the 22nd pushing the enemy back and capturing Meaulte,
Mametz, Carnoy, Hardecourt and Faviere Wood within a week.

SDGW gives no town of residence, gives his name as Borrins and his number
as G/30683.   *Formerly G/3288 Royal Fusiliers.
