8c/979, the son of Frederick Henry & Edith Swann (nee Seddon).

1939 National Registration - 14 Brierdene Road off Boxgrove Road.

Manufacturer's Traveller (Hospital Factory & School Fitting).   Edith Swann
- Born on the 14th December 1894 - Married - occ: Unpaid Domestic Duties.

Flying with 625 Sqn, they took off at 23.17 hrs on the 10th from R.A.F.
Kelstern, Lincolnshire, in a Lancaster Mk.I, No. LL897 CF-P to attack the
railway facilities at Acheres.   They were shot down by a night-fighter and
crashed on the railway line between Chartres and Rambouillet, a few km E of
the village of St-Hilarion in the Department of Yvelines, where all of the
7 crew are buried.   Three 625 Sqn a/c failed to return on this raid.
