Born on the 8th April 1910 at Liversedge, Yorkshire, the birth being
registered during the March quarter 1910 in the Dewsbury R.D. - ref:
9b/518, the son of Harry & Eva Everington (nee Robinson).   Baptised at
Hightown, York on the 14th February 1910.

By the mid-1930s the family was residing at Primrose Street, Lower
Broughton, Salford.   His father was then a Retired Coal Dealer and Joseph
was himself a Coal Dealer.

Married Jessie Thomas at St. Stephen's P.C. Harpurhey, Manchester during
the September quarter 1936 - ref: 8d/1356.

1939 National Registration - 356 Glebelands Road, Ashton upon Mersey.  
Harry Everington - Married - born on the 7th January 1884 - occ: Hydraulic
Leather Maker.   Eve Everington - Married - born on the 26th August 1887 -
occ: Unpaid Domestic Duties.   Joseph Everington - Married - born on the
8th January 1910 - occ: Coal Dealer Retail Own Account.   Jessie Everington
- Married - born on the 26th August 1913 - occ: Unpaid Domestic Duties.

Stationed in Sussex and Norfolk in 1941 and 1942.  Posted to North Africa
in February 1943 during the closing stages of the North African Campaign.

Initially buried in the Civil Cemetery at Setif, but later in the La
Reunion War Cemetery.   M.I. - "The blow was hard the shock severe to part
with one we loved so dear".

Commemorated on the family gravestone in St. Martin's Ref: 2.117.

CWGC - "Son of Harry & Eva Everington; huspand of Jessie Everington of
Ashton upon Mersey".

His father Harry died 28/04/1962 aged 78 and his mother Eva died 
16/11/1947 aged 60.    His wife Jessie died 20/06/1966 aged 52.  They had a
son called Alan.
