Born during the March quarter 1923 in the Salford R.D. - ref: 8d/210, the
son of Harold & Hilda Telford (nee Blair).

Flying with 467 Sqn, they took off at 1752hrs from R.A.F. Bottesford,
Leicestershire, in a  Lancaster Mk.III, No. DV226 PO on a bombing operation
over Kassel.   The aircraft was lost without trace and the crew of 7 are
commemorated at Runnymede.
