during the December quarter 1898 in the Salford R.D. - ref: 8d/161, the son
of Thomas & Elizabeth Ann  Warburton (nee Ferguson).

1901 Census - 102 New Lane, Eccles.   Son - aged: 4 - born: Patricroft.   
Head of household - Thomas Warburton - Married - aged: 32 - occ: Printer's
Traveller - born: Manchester.  Also - Elizabeth A. Warburton - Wife - aged:
32 - born: Manchester.   Plus 2 elder siblings and 1 domestic Servant and
her daughter.

1911 Census - 24 Princess Road, Flixton.    Son - aged: 15 - born:
Patrictroft, Salford.   Head of household - Thomas Warburton - Married -
aged: 42 - occ: Traveller - born: Manchester.  Also - Elizabeth Ann
Warburton - Wife - aged: 42 - born: Manchester.   Plus 2 siblings.

WO363 - He attested on the 7th December 1915 and was mobilised at Chester
on the 2st January 1916, joining the 6th Battalion, Manchester Regiment -
No. 4539.   Later transferring to the 3rd Battalion - No. 46637 (his final
number).   He was 19 years 8 days of age.   He was 5 feet 7 inches in
height and weighed 112 lb.   His Physical Development was 'Fair' with a
'Pale' complexion.   He had a 33 inch expanded chest measurement with a 4
inch expansion.   He had a slight flat left foot.

Posted to France on the 3rd December 1916 and into the 12th Battalion,
Manchester Regiment on the 16th December 1916.
