Born at Bistre (part of Buckley), Hawarden, Flintshire  during the June
quarter 1887 in the Holywell R.D. - ref: 11b/239, the son of John & Jane
Rogers (nee Davies).

1891 Census - Lane End, Mold, Bistree, Flintshire.  Son - aged: 4 - Scholar
- born: Bistree, Flintshire.   Head of household - John Rogers - Married -
aged: 37 - occ: Brick????? - born: Hope, Flintshire.  Also - Anne (sic)
Rogers - Wife - aged: 39 - born: Hawarden, Flintshire.  Plus 2 elder
sisters and 2 elder brothers.

1901 Census - Mountain Road, Buckley, Hawarden, Flintshire.   Son - aged:
13 - occ: Colliery Labourer (Bank) - born: Buckley, Flintshire.  Head of
household - John Rogers - Married - aged: 47 - occ: Tobacconist & Fancy
Dealer - born: Penymynydd, Flintshire.  Also - Jane Rogers - Wife - aged:
50 - born: Buckley, Flintshire.  Plus 2 elder brothers, one of whom was a
Blacksmith's Labourer.

1911 Census - No Trace.

Married Cecily Winifred Shawcross during the September quarter 1913 in the
Barton upon Irwell R.D. - ref: 8c/1384.  Cecily, born: 1890 was employed as
a Mica Builder.  She was the daughter of John & Mary Elizabeth Shawcross of
14 Jackson Street, Stretford.  John being employed as an Electrical Coil
Winder.

The CCCXXXI (2/II East Lancs) Brigade, RFA was part of the Artillery for
the 66th Division.

Killed during the German Spring Offensive 1918 that commenced on the 21st
March 1918.

Post War his widow lived at Manor Farm, Humphrey Lane, Urmston.
