Born during the September quarter 1922 in the Barton upon Irwell R.D. - ref: 8c/974, the son of Ernest C. & Edith M. Morris (nee Walton). Wireless Operator/AirGunner. Flying from RAF Swinderby, they took off at 18.30 hrs in a Hampden MkI bomber No. AE243 UB-B on a 'Rover' Patrol towards Koln. All four crew members were killed. A 'Rover' Patrol was defined as - "Armed reconnaissance flights with attacks on opportunity targets".  | |||
