Born during the September quarter 1892 in the Chorlton R.D. - ref: 8c/115,
the eldest son of Harry Ernest & Clara Goude (nee Shepherd).

1901 Census - 17 Alderley Road, Flixton.    Son - aged: 8 - born:
Manchester.   Head of household - Harry E. Goude - Married - aged: 37 -
occ: Lithographic Artist - born: Leicester, Leicestershire.    Also - Clara
Goude - Wife - aged: 29 - born: Ludlow, Shropshire.   Plus 3 younger
siblings.

1911 Census - No Trace of the family.

The 1st/6th Battalion (Territorial Force), Manchester Regiment, served in
the 127th Brigade, 42nd (East Lancashire) Division. 

Listed as "Assistant Scoutmaster" - 1st Flixton Troop, on the Urmston &
Flixton Scout's War Memorial.

Listed in the local newspaper as being one of three from the Urmston
Conservative Club, who were flying their flag at half mast in honour of
them.

Death reported in the 03/09/1915 edition of the Altrincham Guardian.

verbatim the following extract from their superb 623 page book "A District
at War - Irlam & Cadishead's Part in the Great War", an incredibly detailed
and comprehensive book that is not only a credit to them, but a magnificent
memorial to the WW1 men of that district.

His parents, Harry Ernest and Clara Goude, lived at 169 Moorside Road,
Flixton. Frank resided in Flixton and was employed by Messrs Royles Ltd
Engineers, Irlam and was well known in the district. He enlisted at
Manchester and, after training, he was posted to the Mediterranean
Expeditionary Force, disembarking at Gallipoli on 23rd July 1915.
Frank was killed in action during the attack on Krithia Nullah on Saturday,
7th August 1915, aged 21 years old.   He is not listed on the Irlam and
Cadishead War Memorial but his name and photograph appears in the 1917
Official Record and Roll of Honour published by Joseph Cooke.  He is
commemorated on the Helles Memorial and also on the War Memorial in St
Michael's Church, Church Road, Flixton and the Urmston and Flixton Boy
Scouts Memorial.  In September 1915 the Union Jack at the Urmston
Conservative Club was flown at half mast for Frank and two other members
who had died during the month. Medal Entitlement: 15 Star Trio.
