was sunk by German submarine in the Atlantic, off the Irish coast, in

Commemorated on the family gravestone in St. Martin's Ref: 3.130.

His father Thomas died 00/06/1923 aged 67.

His brother, F.R. Clarke, (Dentist) Brooklands, had been discharged from
the R.F.C.
