Trafford

Born during the September quarter 1896 in the Altrincham R.D. - ref:
8a/173, the son of Hugh & Ada Elizabeth Fullerton (nee Copley).

1901 Census - No Trace.

1911 Census - "Brackenhoe", Clarenden Road, Sale.    Son - aged: 14 -
Scholar - born: Altrincham.    Head of household - Hugh Fullerton - Married
- aged: 60 - occ: Yarn Merchant - born: Manchester.   Also Ada Fullerton -
Wife - aged: 47 - born: Huddersfield, Yorkshire.  Plus 5 siblings and 1
domestic servant.

His father was the MP for Egremont.   His father was also a member of the
Manchester Reform Club.

Member of the Sale Congregational Church.    Joined the University OTC.

Enlisted in May 1916 and trained at Lichfield.      Commissioned with the
LNLR a few months prior to his death.

Detailed to break the enemy lines, he was leading his platoon when he was
hit by machine gun bullets.

Death reported in the 14/08/1917 edition of the Altrincham Guardian.

His brother, Private Sidney H. Fullerton who was 3 years older than Frank,
was at that time, in a Royal Marine Hospital on the Island of Malta
recovering from being a survivor of the sinking of HMS "Goliath".

HMS "Goliath"  had been doing excellant work in bombarding Turkish
positions on Cape Helles.   She had anchored for the night of 12th May 1915
in Morto Bay, an exposed anchorage.      The effectiveness of her fire had
disturbed the German/Turkish command so the Turkish destroyer "Muavenet"
sortied from the Dardenelles and torpedoed this elderly battleship, built
in 1898.
