Born Raymond Cottrill during the September quarter 1913 in the Bucklow R.D. - ref: 8a/340, the son of Horace & Anne Graham-Cottrill. Attended Bradbury Central School. Employed at the Northern Assurance Co, Manchester. Enlisted in September 1939. Served in the Middle East & Italy. Promoted to the rank of Captain in 1942. Died in an accident at Crosby, Liverpool, shortly after returning to the UK Buried 23/12/1944 - Burial No. 12,279. Commemorated on the private family gravestone in Hale Cem. His father, Horace died 13/06/1948 aged 66 years. | |||
