A memorial to all those City of Manchester Firemen who were either killed on duty as Firemen, or whilst serving in the armed forces. The date range is from 6th January 1801 through to 1974. The City of Manchester Fire Brigade became part of the Greater Mancheser Fire Service in April 1974. Three of the AFS Firemen listed on this memorial died at Old Trafford or at Trafford Park, and are commemorated on this memorial.
