Born during the December quarter 1912, in the Newport (Monmouthshire) R.D. - ref: 11a/444, the son of Arthur & Florence Tribbeck (nee Allen). Attended Newport Secondary School from 1924 - 1928. Emplyed in the Town Clerk's Department of Newport Council, but later employed by an Insurance Company. Played football for Lovell's Athletic Football Club. Married Mary Iris Wilson during the December quarter 1939 in the Newport (Monmouthshire) R.D. ref: 11a/629. Their daughter - Francine A. Tribbeck was born during the March quarter 1943. He joined the RAFVR in October 1940 and was one of the first batch of pilots to be trained in America. Killed together with his school mate - Sergeant Arthur Wright who was his Wireless Operator. They are both commemorated on the School War Memorial. Buried on the 29th July 1943. His widow is later recorded (CWGC) as residing at Timperley. She married Alfred L. Johnson in 1946 in the Bucklow R.D. It is obvious that Arthur's only connection to Trafford is that after his death, his widow moved to Timperley.
